Using LumiNote

LumiNote is an app that narrates PDFs aloud with word-by-word highlighting and answers questions about your documents. It's currently in development and closed testing. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to these terms. You must be at least 13 years old to use LumiNote.

Your content

You keep ownership of the PDFs you upload. By uploading a document, you grant LumiNote a limited license to store, process, and transmit it solely to provide the service to you — generating narration, answering your questions, and storing it in your account. Your content is only sent to Google's AI services (Google Gemini and Google Cloud Text-to-Speech) after you consent in the app, and you can withdraw that consent in Profile → Account Settings → Account → Privacy → AI processing. Under Google's paid API terms, content sent to these services is not used to train Google's models. We don't claim ownership of your content and don't sell it. Our Privacy Policy explains exactly what we collect, who processes it, and how to delete it.

Acceptable use

Only upload PDFs you have the right to use — your own notes, licensed course materials, or public-domain works. Don't upload material you don't have the rights to, and don't use the AI chat to try to generate illegal or harmful content. Don't attempt to reverse-engineer, disrupt, or overload the service.

Subscriptions and billing

LumiNote offers a free tier and two auto-renewing monthly subscriptions: Pro (US$14.99/month) and Ultra (US$24.99/month). Prices in other countries are shown in your local currency in the app before you buy, and may include taxes. Subscriptions are sold and billed by the Apple App Store or Google Play — the price, trial length, and terms shown at checkout are authoritative. LumiNote never processes or stores your payment card details.

• Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google account when you confirm the purchase.
• Your subscription renews automatically each month at the same price unless you cancel it at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for the renewal within the 24 hours before the current period ends.
• Where a free trial is offered (for example, Ultra's 3-day trial for eligible new subscribers), you're charged when the trial ends unless you cancel at least 24 hours before then. Any unused part of a free trial ends when you buy a subscription.
• Upgrading from Pro to Ultra takes effect immediately. Switching from Ultra to Pro takes effect at your next renewal.
• You can manage or cancel your subscription anytime in your device's account settings — on iPhone, Settings → your name → Subscriptions — or from Profile → Account Settings → Account → Subscription → Manage Subscription in the app.

Canceling stops future renewals; you keep access until the end of the period you've paid for. Payments aren't refunded for the current period, except as required by the App Store's or Google Play's refund policy. Purchases made through the App Store are also subject to Apple'sStandard End User License Agreement.

Availability

LumiNote is under active development. Features, pricing, and availability may change, and we don't guarantee uninterrupted uptime while we're in this early stage. We'll try to give notice of major changes through the app or the email you signed up with.

Termination

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms, including uploading content you have no right to or abusing the service. You can delete your own account at any time from Profile → Account Settings → Account → Danger Zone → Delete Account, which deletes your profile, folders, PDFs, and AI chat history (seeDelete your account for the full list). Deleting your account doesn't cancel an active subscription — cancel that separately in your Apple ID (or Google Play) settings.

Liability

LumiNote is provided "as is," without warranties of any kind. To the extent permitted by law, LumiNote is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of the app. Nothing in these terms limits any liability that cannot be limited under applicable law.
